The Key Attributes to Look for in a DevOps Trainer
For organizations just getting their feet wet in DevOps, finding a talented trainer is a top priority. Without a skilled expert on hand to guide developers and managers through the methodology's various processes and practices, a DevOps initiative can falter even before it gets started.
The problem is that DevOps is still maturing and evolving. As a result, many people claiming to be expert DevOps trainers actually lack the specific knowledge, skills, and insights necessary to be successful mentors. To ensure that the person you select to bring current DevOps practices into your organization is up to the job, it's important to select someone who possesses the following key attributes related to experience and soft skills.

As new technologies continuously enter the market, the content management system (CMS) is sometimes left as an afterthought, or worse, seen as a commodity. To stand out in this sea-of-sameness, CMS vendors should evolve their approach by helping businesses engage in new and different ways with the empowered consumer.

3 ‘C’s’ to Set Your Foundation for Success
A recent Salesforce.com report, Customer Expectations Hit All-Time Highs, uncovers how “Modern customers have much higher expectations, such as proactive services, personalized interactions, and connected experiences across channels.” This message is resonating across all retailers, from big-box stores to mom-and-pop shops, as online commerce solutions become more sophisticated in delivering these personalized interactions and optimizing the buyer’s journey. There's no doubt consumers feel they're entitled to proactive, personalized and connected experiences, and the pressure is on to deliver to these digital expectations. Furthermore, these high-demand expectations are in a constant state of change. Retailers must develop a cohesive digital strategy to better engage with modern customers. After all, your bottom line is at stake.

A Fair Review of the Top Mid-Market CMS for 2020
Today’s web content management systems — also known as CMS or WCM — offer much more than website authoring, collaboration, and administration tools. A modern Web CMS touches almost every department from sales and marketing, human resources, all the way to administration. A CMS empowers your organization with the ability to create and maintain powerful, personalized customer experiences, yet, 42% of companies polled indicated they still don’t have the right technology to manage their content.
5 Network Performance Monitoring Vendors to Watch in 2020
As 2020 is now in full swing, we can look back on the previous year and see how its developments will impact the future. In 2019, we saw several vendors introduce advanced capabilities and expand their business beyond simple network monitoring. There were also some key acquisitions and buyouts that (we expect) will give small-scale network monitoring providers the resources to build themselves up into powerhouses in the industry. When thinking of what 2020 will bring for network monitoring vendors and solutions, it helps to watch the companies who are expected to deliver many innovations throughout the year.
Many Entrepreneurs Go Astray In The Middle Of The Process To Create A Worthy Product
More often, we tell the stories of startup successes. Yet, when we refer to statistics, it is usually related to the failure rates. According to CB Insights, 70% of newly founded companies fail 20 months after first raising financing, with the main reason being “no market need.” Startups are increasingly trying to gain market share and disrupt established leaders. At the same time, the number of new products that actually solve a problem somebody cares about enough to pay for is too low.
Building the Perfect Travel Site Starts with Your CMS
When you consider vacations are supposed to be fun, relaxing and enjoyable, actually planning a vacation is very much not so. These days, it’s easy to pour hours into researching destinations, comparing prices and booking accommodations across dozens of different sites. And even when you’re done, you’re often left with the lingering feeling that you forgot to do something critical.

Why the CMS Can Make or Break Your Digital Success
For businesses today, providing an engaging customer experience across all digital touchpoints is paramount to success. From a marketing perspective, it is crucial that content is distributed across all available devices that customers are likely to use, including websites for laptops, tablets, and mobiles, as well as content for other devices, such as wearables.

Progress’ Kinvey platform uses modern microservices frameworks and low code connectors to present disparate systems as a single, secure data collection or RESTful API, without having to replicate data or replatform legacy systems. Predicting 2020 Trends Across DesignOps, AppDev, AI, IoT and 5G
Artificial intelligence, blockchain and IoT devices are just a few of the tools that analysts and executives believe will play a huge role in the coming year.
"For 2020, many organizations will augment or expand digital transformation efforts into digital innovation to drive business results. Digital transformation isn't going away and never will as long as there are ongoing opportunities for transformation," said Mark Troester, vice president of strategy at the technology development company Progress.
10 Things You Never Knew You Could Do with a CMS
Since the first “modern” content management system (CMS) reared its head around 2005, businesses of all shapes and sizes turned away from manually coding websites and towards the modern age of CMS. This transformation empowered marketing teams throughout the business world to push the limits to what the “interwebs” could really do. Emboldened by agility, faster time to market, dynamically generated pages, and more control over the customer journey, marketers are constantly seeking new, unique features they can leverage from today’s CMS to propel them into the next era.
The Ten Things that Should Happen in 2020
DesignOps, AppDev, digital innovation, AI, machine learning, IoT, bots and mobility are leading technologies that have dominated the IT industry, and it’s that time of year to predict what will happen in the year to come with these technologies. Or, at the very least, what I think should happen. These predictions might not come to pass as quickly as I’d like, but I’m certain that forward-thinking organizations will make considerable inroads into many of these areas of expertise.
For a long time, Microsoft had the reputation for being unfriendly to developers.
After all, Microsoft infamously spent much of the '90s and '00s battling with the open source community — the free and remixable software that they were creating posed an existential threat to Windows and other Microsoft products. Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer even infamously called the open source operating system Linux "a cancer."
